Brookfield Properties is proud to present 'The Painted Picnic', a vibrant Summer Pavilion by acclaimed artist John Booth.
Inspired by the LFA2025 theme, 'Voices', this playful installation reimagines a still-life composition at an architectural scale and creates a space for both musical voices and community engagements. Featuring hand-painted figures, oversized fruit, and abstract landscapes, it transforms the space into a colorful retreat for relaxation, interaction, and creativity.
The pavilion is fully wheelchair accessible and includes an audio description for visually impaired visitors. As an artist-owned work, it is designed for future reconfigurations, ensuring its legacy continues beyond this commission.
Beyond a sculpture, The Painted Picnic is a dynamic platform for community engagement, hosting curated events, live music, and public gatherings throughout Summer 2025.
