Event Type
Workshop
LFA Location
City of London
Audience
This event is for Built environment professionals This event is for College and university students This event is for Young people aged 10-16

With generous support from the NLA, we are offering in-person, complimentary design reviews and workshops for current and prospective students and young practitioners in architecture and the built environment—regardless of background or academic stage.

In alignment with the LFA 2025 theme ‘Voices’, this event creates space for emerging voices to be heard, supported, and amplified. We’re particularly focused on empowering those whose perspectives have long been overlooked within architectural discourse. We actively encourage women, disabled individuals, and candidates from Black, Asian and Global Majority Ethnic backgrounds to take part, as these groups remain consistently underrepresented across the construction industry.

Sessions is centred on improving representation in the built environment. Through a combination of short- and long-term mentoring support, we provide guidance to individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. Since launching in March 2020, we’ve engaged with over 850 individuals across 50 cities worldwide—including here in London.

The event begins at 3pm, with each complimentary Session lasting 30 minutes. Please bring two key aims or questions you’d like to explore with your Mentor—we’ll aim to do some preparatory work before your Session.
