The future of London's infill housing will be explored in this event, based on the experiences of the organisers: Archio and Haworth Tompkins. This year’s LFA theme, Voices, sets the stage for conversations about the diverse perspectives that shape infill development, from designers and developers to local authorities and, most importantly, the communities who call these spaces home.
As London grapples with the urgent need for more housing, the smaller left-behind spaces present opportunities for thoughtful, sustainable development. But how do we ensure that infill housing is feasible, equitable and responsive to local needs? Infill-trate will bring together key voices to explore this vital sector within the wider housing industry, including voices from communities who are working with Haworth Tompkins and Archio.
Through a series of rapid-fire presentations and then panel discussion, we will examine how different stakeholders can work together to unlock the potential of small sites, delivering homes while strengthening communities.
