We invite you to join us for a curated walking tour of the City of London, where the architecture and art intersect in both surprising and inspiring ways.
Led by the project architects, this exclusive tour offers a unique, insider’s perspective, showcasing our projects that exemplify artistic collaboration. In alignment with the 2025 theme of the London Festival of Architecture, Voices, we will explore the dialogue between architects, artists, and the public.
You will gain insight into the conception of these works, the creative challenges encountered during their development, and the impact of opening these spaces to the broader community.
The tour will commence at our recently completed project, 150 Aldersgate, specifically at Braidwood Passage, where we collaborated with the artist Alexis Teplin.
The design of Braidwood Passage serves to bridge the Brutalist aesthetic of the Barbican with Smithfield’s Victorian brickwork. Drawing inspiration from woven textiles, the passage features tiles as an artistic intervention. These tiles, adorned with painted arcs inspired by the balconies of the Barbican and etched marks symbolising stitching and weaving, create a striking visual effect.
