This is a play and a musical walking tour of the history of The East India Company 1599-1757, told in the spots in the City of London where the history happened.

During the event, we visit five buildings in the East part of The City which are unmarked but part of the East India Company operations. We also travel across the globe to visit India to see how this history affected India. This history has a direct effect on why the City of London looks like it does today.

This show is for a wide audience, and is designed to uncover the unmarked history of the East India Company. We see how the history of the current architecture is layered on the past buildings. We have found that this has been inspiring for people understanding their own ancestry and the built City around them. This show is educational, entertaining and emotional.

There is no wheelchair accessibility on Friday 13th June. Saturday 21st June is a wheelchair accessible performance.

Visitors should be able to walk for just over a mile slowly. We advise portable seating if this is an issue.
There is one small curve which does not have a ramp. Wheelchair users in 2024 were able to manage this with no issues.

Please come dressed for any weather.

Before the show, there are toilets in the pubs in Leadenhall Market, in The Pret A Manger on Philpot Lane and in The Sky Garden Booking Office. After the show there are toilets in the restaurants in Devonshire Square and at Liverpool St Station.

We currently have no BSL interpreted performances this year. However BSL interpreters and Carers can attend free of charge - contact organiser for more information.
