There are many unheard voices in the architecture profession, this is true of many individuals. These voices are dulled for different reasons, these could be cultural, socioeconomic or perhaps just not fitting into the established structures. How can these voices be heard more clearly?
Is the profession truly more inclusive? It would seem in recent years that the profession has come on leaps and bounds, with the first black person being elected as RIBA president in 2022. There could be varying factors at play causing this, but it is known that the length of the course and the relatively low remuneration rates post-qualification play a major role. Will the face of architecture truly ever change?
