The London Festival of Architecture, in collaboration with Architecture LGBT+ and Freehold—and proudly supported by Brookfield Properties and Eastern City BID—has announced Proudspeaker by oo office as the winning entry for the 2025 Pride Float Competition.
Join us for a celebratory drinks reception and exhibition showcasing the full set of float competition entries, launched earlier this year.
As part of the evening, oo office will host a special participatory workshop:
"Join us in an act of quiet resistance and radical care.
On June 18, we invite our extended queer community and allies alike to gather and engage in a ritual of collective reflection and wish-making.
Inspired by the theme of ‘Voices’ – and honouring the legacy of queer leaders who understood Pride as both protest and performance - this participatory event offers a moment of gentle release to make space for hope. We ask you to make a wish for someone in the community: whether that is a friend, a stranger, a lover, or a chosen family member.
Each guest is invited to inscribe a wish – manifesting a shared vision of queer joy and safety. These wishes will empower the ‘Proudspeaker’ with each strip becoming a thread in a living quilt of voices to be woven together in a magpie-like ritual. Through this workshop, we hope to amplify our commitment to a community bound by shared stories."
