Join us for an inspiring discussion to celebrate the powerful role food plays in empowering people and uniting communities.

Through a series of short films, curated by Central Saint Martins students, you’ll hear directly from the people who use and cherish Woolwich Common Community Centre’s shared cooking space. Their personal stories will highlight the transformative role that communal cooking plays in fostering connections and promoting healthy food practices. An expert panel will also be on hand to unpack the wider impact of exciting projects like The Circular Kitchen, which use food as a catalyst for change, whilst exploring ways design professionals can support similar community-driven initiatives.

Architecture practice Stride Treglown has partnered with Central Saint Martins students and Woolwich Common Community Centre to dream up The Circular Kitchen, an outdoor community cooking space grounded in circular economy principles. This new kitchen will strengthen existing support networks, provide a creative space for the community to come together, and amplify the Centre’s invaluable work in promoting sustainable food practices. By hosting this event, we hope to raise money to fund the build and make The Circular Kitchen a reality!
