This tour begins at the modern urban planting and public seating among the independent shops of Atlantic Road. From here we will visit Brixton’s historic Frontline and see how it changed following the 1981 uprising and continues to evolve.

We will explore a focus of local Black history, noting multiple blue plaques honouring local heroes, and enjoy community urban greening at its most verdant along residential streets.
Beyond the the tracks of a railway bridge and underpass artistically claimed by local residents, we will visit a Stirling Prize winning London secondary school with sporty features. before winding our way towards the intriguingly named Barrier Block.

Finally, we will deliver you back to the heart of Brixton via a new theatre, historic murals and we will leave you to explore the ever popular markets.

Open to all but numbers are limited.
