The Local Investigators is a creative workshop that invites participants to reflect and voice their stories about personal landmarks by connecting with the built environment through memories and experiences. This exploration is a discussion followed by a 30-minute guided walk around the Building Centre (WC1E area), and various forms of expression, including writing, sketching, and model-making.
The built environment surrounds us and is the backdrop for the stories of our personal landmarks - places that create a sense of connection and belonging to an area or space. These landmarks represent shared moments or individual experiences, evoking emotions and memories that ground us in our surroundings and fill spaces with personal meaning.
We welcome a diverse range of participants to voice intergenerational and inclusive perspectives on how we connect with built environment, while at the same time challenge our perceptions of landmarks.
