Every October, February and Summer school holidays, young people aged 16 to 18 years across the UK complete work experience placements co-organised by RIBA’s Learning Department and RIBA EDI working group in collaboration with over 80 architecture practices. The programme prioritises young people from diverse backgrounds to help ensure that future architects represent the communities where they work. Whilst on placement, students complete a range of exciting projects from creating pop-up kiosks and pavilions to transforming commercial rooftop terraces into multifunctional outdoor spaces. Visitors to the Stepping Stones exhibition can enjoy learning about the projects that students have worked on and seeing the amazing variety of designs they have created.

Exhibition visitors can also hopefully be inspired to work with young people and to host work experience placements to enable them to achieve their aspirations in becoming the architects of the future.

The exhibition will be on show at AHMM’s offices and TP Bennett’s offices on 5 June 18:00-20:30.
