Join us on a tour of Royal Arsenal Riverside to learn about how Berkeley regenerated this historic site, mixing the restoration of heritage buildings with modern architecture.
The site is steeped in history, dating back to the establishment of the Woolwich Dockyard in 1512 for the construction of Henry VIII’s flagship ‘Henri Grace a Dieu’. It was also where Arsenal FC was founded, by munition factory workers on the site, and has had many uses over several centuries.
Around 4,000 homes have been delivered at Royal Arsenal Riverside, and upon completion in the next 5-6 years, this number will rise to 5,163. A significant amount of the site has been designed to maintain the site’s architectural heritage and respect its history, with a number of Grade I and II listed buildings converted for residential use.
