Jaspar Joseph- Lester, Siyu Chen and Mengshuo Wu will produce five creative maps that reflect the social, architectural, cultural and personal 'histories' that might not always be visible but remain present to those who pass through the streets and green spaces daily.
The maps are developed from a series of walks with participants that have worked and lived on the estate and include different periods and experiences that cover the full lifetime of The Winstanley Estate.
Each map is designed around the experiences and insights of different individuals to become what can be described as a type of portrait (a map that captures a moment of an individual life through group walking).
The maps will be displayed in York Gardens Library and they are part of Past, Present and Future Fest (13th June – 13th July 2025) Mapping Winstanley outcome (Exhibition).
