This event is for Everyone

What happens when we listen to the birds and animals we share our city with? Come walk with me and talk about the parakeets that call London home. Traversing the Royal Parks of Westminster, we’ll explore the millennia-old entanglement of parakeets and humans, retracing strands of this history woven through the English Landscape. Parakeets may not be "native" to this island, but they're here to stay. How can we create cities that include our fellow beings, and create interspecies solidarity?

Wear good shoes and expect bad weather, but also prepare for strange flights of imagination between the real and the perceived visions of nature, the traumatic events parakeets have been witness to, and the questions that our fine feathered friends bring with them in their travails.

This event will be recorded through audio and photographed.
