No More Buildings!

Through casual observation there seems to be more empty buildings that one might imagine. When under-occupancy, 'buy-to-leave', empty offices, and grand houses used as offices are considered, the question surely arises; does London need to keep building in the way it does?

This walk will be a slightly tongue-in check walk around Soho and Holborn to explore the world that creates an excess of certain building types and a scarcity of others (good quality, low cost housing, for example).

Voices means a range of views and yet the developers, construction companies, big landlords and related interests have huge marketing and PR teams. They can put out powerful messages. How can other voices be heard? Where are the voices that would like a different city?

The walk will be a chance to join a conversation; and consider what the alternative to a developer led London might be.
