How did tropical and rainforest plants make their way into English gardens?
Join us to see where Loddiges' famous Botanic Nursery Garden had once stood and learn how their plant trading transformed gardens around the world. During this tour, we will hear stories from the plants themselves - how their ancestors were captured from home soil and brought to East London by sea. As we walk by the now buried Palm House, we will listen to plant voices who had been stored in this vast 19th C greenhouse and hear of their migration stories and colonial histories.
