Building on the success of La Evolucion, a Latin underground music event which took place in March, La Evolucion: Part 2 explores the evolution of Latin music in the UK, from its underground roots to its growing mainstream influence. The event will bring together artists, producers and industry figures for a discussion on the challenges, opportunities and cultural impact of Latin music in the UK.
Enjoy a panel discussion, interactive Q&A and a live performance offering a platform for conversation and celebration. Speakers will share insights on the music industry, the power of collaboration and the role of community organizations, like libraries, in supporting emerging local talents.
The event will be hosted in the Wood Green Library, a notable example of modernist architecture designed by Bertram Dinnage and completed in 1978. The building features four stepped floors and a double-height library space, and it was part of the redevelopment of central Wood Green.
