To design spaces that are welcoming to all it is critical to listen first to the people most likely to feel excluded.

Architects listen, but do they listen soon enough? Who else needs to listen to the voices of neurodiverse communities, people with disabilities, and cultural minorities? Collaboration is key but our recent roundtable showed that we need to expand the circle further.

In this panel session we bring together a panel of experts, to discuss these questions, and consider how investing in accessibility isn’t just a matter of compliance but is an opportunity for innovation, social benefit and competitive advantage.

The panel:
- Rob Turpin, Head of Health, BSI
- Dr Katie Gaudion, Senior Research Associate, RCA - Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design
- Delwar Hussain, Wellbeing Psychologist, UCL Associate Professor and Founder of Mindset Architecture
- Fayaz Chagpar, Senior Consultant at Google, Real Estate Design and Delivery
- Jon Eaglesham, Barr Gazetas (Chair)

We will hear their stories and their views on how to unlock progress. The audience will also be warmly invited to share their experiences and ideas. We aim to collate a three point plan to ensure that listening also turns into action.
