Grange Big Local Trail

Sunday 08 June

11.00 - 13.00

Event Type
Tour
LFA Location
Barnet
Audience
This event is for Everyone

Take a walk through the social housing estates of East Finchley, an area that was only 3% open space (the London average is 14%), with only 41% of the expected equipped play spaces. Take a look at how local volunteers and voices have transformed the area, and listen to them talk about how and why they did it.

We will visit:
- Green Arrows Garden in the Archer Academy
- Market Place Playground
- Manor Park Road Underpass
- Vale Farm Allotments Pergola
- Community Quilt in Tarling Road Community Centre
- Barnwood Forest Garden, where the Birchers Forest School will offer free refreshments on 8 June.

Download our map, to follow independently, or from home, or join us on a guided walk on 8 June for a truly grassroots project, reclaiming and creating spaces. The walk is 2km and will take about 1hour 30 mins. Map can be found here: https://www.grangebiglocal.org/guidedwalk

Please note the Green Arrows garden and Barnwood are not accessible everyday.
