Hailed as ‘the biggest architectural sensation of their kind since the Moscow Underground’ when it opened in 1999, the extension was led by Roland Paoletti and features designs by Hopkins Architects, Will Alsop, and Foster + Partners.

In 2017, SAVE successfully campaigned to prevent major demolition at Southwark Station, underscoring the balance between progress and heritage.
