Join us for this special edition of our quarterly Diverse Leaders Networking to share skills and support the diversity, equity and inclusion of the built environment industry.
NLA’s Skills for Places report identifies career pathways into the built environment, inspiring young people and career changers to enter the industry while addressing the critical challenges of building a more skilled, sustainable, and inclusive workforce. A career in the built environment offers the opportunity to shape the future of our cities, yet awareness of these career paths remains limited at school age. Traditional training routes, often siloed, do not fully reflect the interdisciplinary skills required to design, construct, and manage the places of tomorrow. Skills for Places, consolidates key data on current and future skill requirements, highlights innovative programmes, and sets out actionable recommendations to remove barriers to entry and bridge the gap between education and employment.
Everyone has skills and knowledge to share whether you are at leadership level or just starting out, this event is an opportunity for us all to become mentors and be mentored in return. This event aims to create a safe, non-judgemental space where people feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly about their experiences and skills in the industry.
