This event will explore the use of sound, song and storytelling as a means to create, preserve or recover important layers of understanding within built heritage sites.

This in-person event will convene a panel of international artists, researchers and cultural practitioners to discuss their work in this space, including case studies from Pakistan, Iraq and Syria.

Together they will explore the interconnectivity of intangible heritage practices and built heritage spaces, discussing the importance of preserving the rites and rituals that bring voice to these physical sites.
