This June, in celebration of the London Festival of Architecture, Arts Depot in Finchley hosts a unique community arts installation, expressing Barnet's diverse local residents through six interconnected wall hangings.
Before the installation is hung at Arts Depot, in May and early June, people of varied ages, backgrounds and identities will participate in a series of screen-printing and painting workshops,. They will make wall hangings that voice symbols, designs and messages of six groups that are different yet connected by common threads of sharing and coexistence.
Come and see this exciting installation made by children, teenagers and adults of all ages and backgrounds - including those who have live in the area for a long time, and those who've joined more recently.
Everyone is invited to the opening reception at Arts Depot on Sunday 15th June 3-5pm in the foyer. Bring family and friends. The cafe will be open.
