Join us for an exhibition exploring how hands-on making fosters deeper connections between young people, their environment, and sustainable design.
A central installation co-created by Morris+Company and CELLA showcases hand-crafted clay tiles made by East London school students during a workshop series bridging architectural practice and education. Through making, students engaged with themes of biodiversity, carbon impact, and cultural heritage, gaining agency in shaping their built environment.
This exhibition and event series highlights the social value of learning through making, demonstrating how participatory design fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Alongside student work, explore innovative approaches to clay in architecture and community-driven design.
Supported by UCL EAST seed funding, EH Smith, Wienerberger and Lyons & Annoot, the exhibition invites architects, educators, and communities to reflect on how co-making can inspire more inclusive, sustainable futures.
