"Buried Voices" will amplify the stories of some of the notable figures buried in St Mary's Churchyard (Hendon).

This will include the history of The Stationers' Company, the life and legacy of Sir Stamford Raffles, the pioneering football manager Herbert Chapman and less well known, but interesting characters with a local connection.

Not only will visitors be able to engage with the past but also have the opportunity to make connections with our current context and contemporary concerns. There will be guided and self-guided tours - including a children't tour - as well as talks, displays and other activities.

In addition to the main event on Saturday, 7th June, "Twilight" events to be held on weekday evenings. These will be advertised via the parish website and on social media when confirmed.
