Amidst the urban noise, London Met Interiors students are inviting birds to make their voices heard in the city.
Investigating bird habitats, the students crafted elegant bird boxes from Dinesen timber off-cuts, promoting biodiversity while minimising waste in line with Dinesen’s no-waste policy.
Designed with ecological awareness, these bird boxes create thriving spaces for birds to sing, enhancing urban nature and celebrating the beauty of birdsong in the city. The designs were further developed into pavilions in an urban park, highlighting the importance of wildlife conservation and offering moments of contemplation through birdsong.
This project showcases mindful craftsmanship, sustainability, and intelligent design, proving that even in a bustling city, nature’s harmony can be preserved and celebrated.
The project is a collaboration between Dinesen, V-Zug, and Jay Osgerby.
