In this waterside panel discussion, Canary Wharf Group, Howells, HTA and guests will explore how we can give voice to overlooked urban assets, and how water can become a dynamic, democratic element in city life.

London’s history is inseparable from water – from trade routes and docklands to today’s rapidly evolving neighbourhoods. But as the city has grown, the waterside has often become overlooked. This panel asks how the voices of place, ecology and community can reshape how we plan, design and experience waterside spaces.

Canary Wharf’s Eden Dock demonstrates the power of listening to and amplifying these voices. With floating pontoons, aquatic islands, and ecological interventions, this unique space celebrates London’s dockside character while engaging the public in a more inclusive, interactive relationship with water.
