Each year the Barnet Multi Faith Forum sets out on a journey to explore a different part of the London Borough of Barnet and tell the stories of its residents and the faith organisations who serve them, through the prism of the buildings that stand both as places of worship and of wider community use. The history and architecture of these buildings play an evolving role in the life of the local area, and, in walking together through the spaces and places that connect them, we also seek a pathway to reduce isolation and tension between existing communities, and to increase understanding of as-yet unheard voices, initiatives, and needs.

This year's walk will begin on the eastern border of Barnet at Christ Church Cockfosters and will descend through Pymme's Brook valley to encounter the social and physical histories of New Barnet and East Barnet and the buildings that have come, gone and transformed lives along the way. These include not just traditional places of worship but community centres, schools, and the outdoor spaces that connect them.

In addition, the walk itself need not be completed in entirety and participants can join just parts of it according to access and mobility needs, with public transport options available at all stages.
